Dot Fiftyone Gallery

Transforming Light, at Dot Fiftyone Gallery, explores the notion of how light profoundly affects the perception of our physical environment and impacts our understanding of metaphysical reality. The eight featured artists are: Mauro Giaconi, Marc Ash, Ruddy Candillon, Patrick Laumond, Andres Ferrandis, Yom, Leonel Matheu, Max Gomez Canle.

Transforming Light is a collaborative project conceived by MoonStar, Dot Fiftyone Gallery, and Ilana Vardy. The group's alliance offers a fresh approach to designing a dynamic gallery experience. "By combining some of the gallery's artists with artists we are promoting both here and in France, our goal is to create a dialogue with the visitor, both with us and within themselves, that will inspire a deeper understanding of art's potential impact on our lives," states Sebastien Laboureau of MoonStar.

In honor of France's Bastille Day, the gallery will also will feature a 7 foot-high version of the Statue of Liberty's head, located on the roof deck of the gallery. Miami-based art engineer Olivier Haligon, the grandson of the statue's original creator, Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi, was commissioned to create a mold for the restoration of Paris' Liberty 15 years ago.
