Seyhourn Art Gallery presents a Rare Collection of Modern Persian Art During Art Basel Miami Beach

Opening Reception: Thursday, December 6th, 2007.

Featuring: Musical appearance by The Ruff Club’s Ruff Kids (NYC) Seyhourn Art Gallery will host an exclusive 10-Cane rum cocktail reception on Thursday, December 6th at 7:00 p.m. at Power Studios in the Miami Design District, for the viewing of a rare collection of progressive-modern Persian art from some of world’s leading Iranian artists. Art enthusiasts alongside local and visiting VIP’s are expected to attend the event produced by Supermarket Creative Agency and hosted by Gorillas, Metro 1 Properties, Rebecca Mandelman and Maile Rodriguez. Guests will enjoy private catering compliments of Bond St. Restaurant and special guest DJ performances by The Ruff Kids and Johnny The Boy. The exhibition is scheduled to open on Wednesday, December 5th and remain open until Sunday, December 9th. The studio will be transformed into a world-class art gallery featuring an exclusive collection of more than 60 pieces of art from close to 20 leading artists. Some of the most globally esteemed names exhibiting their work will include Mostafa Darehbaghi, Hessam Abrishami, Goli Mahalatti, Mohsen Khalili and Ramin Haerizadeh.The most long-lived art gallery in Iran, for close to four decades, Seyhoun Art Gallery has successfully continued to exhibit contemporary Iranian art displaying more than 1,200 paintings, sculptures photography and graphic art exhibitions as well as incorporating other present day international trends such as installation art, conceptual art, video art and digital art. Originally founded by Ma‘sumeh Seyhoun 36 years ago, Seyhoun Art Gallery is now directed by Nader Seyhoun with a location on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and plans to open a third gallery in Miami’s Design District in 2008.
