Card Goddess Turns Two

Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath permeated the nation, Lindsay Lohan crashed her Mercedes-Benz in Beverly Hills, and Card Goddess opened its online store for business. The year was 2005.

That’s right – Card Goddess, a company providing unique and creative handmade paper creations such as greeting cards, gift tags, notepads and bookmarks for all occasions, turns two years old this month. Owner and card creator, Kristie Lorette, started the handmade card business prior to the peak in demand for handmade products that are made by crafters and artisans in the United States. And Card Goddess has seen the success of these crafty types of businesses during its two year run, where not only has the website grown, but Card Goddess products have been picked up by retailers from around the country and on the web.

“Since our birthday coincided with the holiday season, we decided to run a post-holiday sale to celebrate. When we turn five or ten, then maybe will throw a big party to celebrate!” says Kristie Lorette.
